Toyota Camry Hybrid Review: A Deep Dive Into Features, Price 2025

The international spec model of the Camry hybrid is available in 5 variants: LE/SE/XLE/XSE & TRD. So this luxury sedan has a sharp and sporty design and there is another Japanese sedan that looks similar to it: LEXUS ES300, which is expensive and based on the Camry.

And not only the design, but even the power train is also similar. so let’s start from the front the new 9th generation Camry is completely different from the previous version its bumper, hood and headlights are new.

the eye-catching design element here is its front bumper it’s wider & the lower part of the front bumper has a large grill with 6 horizontal slots in the middle and star-like design elements on both sides of the grill. Two tiny LED fog lights are also mounted on the lower portion of the front bumper.

I don’t think they can perform during foggy days but illuminated roads sufficiently during the night.on the other hand, you have LED headlights and each headlight has two vertically arranged LED projector lights for low and high beams.

Now the attractive design element here is LED DRLs which are in the c shape and cover a short portion of the bumper as you can see in the images. It merges a sophisticated look to the car and gives the Camry Hybrid a unique look.

Besides this, there is a radar sensor between the grill with a camera for safety purposes and over the middle top of the front windscreen. it also has rain-sensing wipers, a muscular hood etc and its hood has gas struts for easy opening of the hood.

Now moving to the side of the car you will see that this new 9th generation Toyota Camry Hybrid is a bit larger than before. the previous Camry has a length of 4885 mm and the new Camry is 4920 mm in length.

besides this, the ground clearance is just 135 mm so you need to be extra careful over the speed breaker especially when you are carrying 4 people.

On the other hand, the model you are watching here has a dual-tone colour black roof and red body colour whereas below the top model, you will get a single-tone colour.

Talking about features this car is equipped with auto folding and unfolding mirrors which can be adjusted electrically via a knob & these ORVMS are not ordinary because an led turn signal and camera are mounted over it. so in case you accidentally crash these ORVMs they may cost you more than Rs 10000/-

Besides this, you have conventional door handles with a dedicated key slot and the company could offer flush door handles at this price point. personally, I don’t have any problem but the flush door handle looks sporty and gives a smooth look.

Talking about wheels, 235/45 R18-inch alloy wheels are fitted in the Camry hybrid, and international models may get R19-inch alloy wheels. These wheels have the Toyota logo in the centre of the rim and are attached to the hub by 5 nuts.

Besides this, you can see a HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) badging on the front fenders. now moving on the rear just like the front rear is even more sportier and its sharp rear curves create a sporty 3D look.

And if you look at Tailights which looks slightly similar to the headlights. especially C-shaped LED. On the tailgate, you will get a Camry badging, spoiler and HEV badging.

This is an electric release tailgate so you need to press the tailgate release button over the key fob and it will get open on its own but you need to close it by the hand.on the other hand rear bumper is wider and its sharp design enhances its overall appearance.

So as you open the door you will be welcomed by an all-new interior design that not only looks better than the previous model but also feels more modern. the interior of the new Toyota Camry hybrid is decorated with genuine leather, wood finish and soft touch material.

The Build quality and fit/finish are great and Toyota is known for their build quality. they have added all the necessary features that a luxury car should have.

so starting from the driver door over the driver’s side door you will see power window switches, ORVM controller and lock/unlock buttons.

Moving on to the dashboard the design is completely changed and looks much better than the previous Camry asymmetry layout. The dashboard is covered by genuine leather, soft touch material and a black piano finish.

On the centre of the dash, there is a 9-inch touch screen is added and it supports navigation, Android Auto and AppleCare Play. In addition to this Toyota has added a JBL better sound experience.

Below the screen, there is a horizontal digital screen that shows the A/C information and on both sides of it, you will see seat heating and ventilation control buttons.

Just below it, you will see A/C control buttons like fan speed, temperature control, and rear and front defoggers. Just below it, you will find rectangular-shaped A/C vents.

Talking about more convenience you will get C-tpe charging ports, wireless charging and two cup holders. Behind the gear knob, it has driving models like ECO/Normal and sports. besides you also have a pure EV mode button that allows you to run the car only on battery power.

Talking about seats, these seats are comfortable and electrically adjustable with adjustable headrests and a memory function is available for the driver seat. besides this, buyers will also get seat heating and ventilation systems which keep you comfortable in harsh weather.

Moving on to rear seats, rear seats can be inclined electrically and the centre armrest has two cup holders and touchpads for controlling the rear seat adjustment in addition to this rear sun shade is electrically operable and music can be controlled by it.

The seats are comfortable and there is a sufficient amount of leg room and headroom here and the carpet of the car is high quality we don’t have any complaints about the interior.

yes, you feel that German rivals have a much more luxurious interior but this Japanese brand is offering a durable interior here.

And due to having a built-in electric motor this automatic transmission is called eCVT [electronically Continuously Variable Transmission].

So Camry is powered by a 4-cylinder, 4 valves per cylinder, DOHC engine producing 176 hp and 221 nm of torque on the other hand electric motor produces 118 hp and the total output will be 215 hp.

This hybrid system works smoothly and you can’t actually tell when the engine is turning on and off during driving. when the car is cruising on a highway system detects the driving status and if it senses that the car doesnt require power it shuts off the engine quietly.

the car will get power from the electric motor which is integrated with the gearbox as you touch the throttle for more power engine will start automatically without any jerk.

The overall quality of driving is smooth and due to having a CVT gearbox, you will feel a rubber band-like effect. The Camry hybrid is a front wheel drive car and the international spec Camry has an all-wheel drive system.

The car engine battery is placed in the boot on the right side and can covered by the carpet. and the main battery is placed underneath the rear passenger seat.

This car has three driving modes ECO/NORMAL & SPORTS and there is a pure EV model that helps you to drive only on electric power without burning fuel and up to 20 km you can drive it.
