• Tata launched its subcompact SUV Nexon in 2017.
• After its launch, it became one of the most popular selling Sub-Compact SUVs in India.
• In 2020 Tata added some new features to it & the Front design is new also.
• Apart from this Nexon has received a 5 starts Global NCAP safety rating.

• Tata Nexon’s chassis is made up of a high-strength steel structure.

• To absorb impact energy and protect the passenger during a crash.
• And as you can see in the images Tata Nexon’s design is changed from front & rear.
• Now headlights look sharper than before with Tri-Arrow Led DRLs.
• In addition, Headlights are LED projector units with Halogen Bulb

• It means Headlights are not completely LED and DRLs also work as Indicators.
• But these headlights come with Auto On/Off features for your convenience.
• On the other hand, Tata Nexon comes with fog lamps with cornering
• And around fog lamps, it has C shaped element to enhance the visual appearance.
• I must say Nexon looks far better than before with the new bumper design.

• The front grill is replaced by black piano-finished strips with a little opening on the bottom of it.
• Moving down to the bumper Tri-Arrow design grill looks nice.
• Also, the front bumper is integrated with a bull bar and fake skid plate to enhance its SUV look.
• As the Tata Nexon comes under the Compact SUV category it has a muscled front hood.
• On the other hand, this car has front auto-sensing wipers with washers.
• Tata Nexon Electric also looks the same as it is with few changes.

“Side” Design Tata Nexon BS6 (Watch Demo)

• Tata is using the Tri-Arrow themes in its car almost everywhere.
• Nexon looks wider when you see it from the front this is because.
• Side fenders have a muscular design and it makes this car look like an SUV.
• On the other hand, to prevent it from scratch Tata has features door side & wheel arch cladding.
• Now, this wheel arch is home to 16” Diamond Cut alloy wheels.

• On the other hand, you can really drive this SUV over bad roads.
• Because Tata Nexon comes with 209 mm of class-leading ground clearance.
• Now let’s talk about my favourite element that’s is the floating roof.
• Tata called this Coupe-Inspired Aerodynamic Shape with Black A, B & C pillars.
• The roof is tapering towards the c pillars and with a spoiler on it looks really sporty.

• Other design highlights of Tata Nexon are its body-coloured door handles and Roof rails.
• And belt line of Nexon is finished with metallic elements.
• Talking about its Side view Mirrors they are Auto foldable and Adjustable as well.
• Although side view mirrors come with a Black piano finish & LED indicators.

Rear Design Tata Nexon

• Let’s move on to the rear Nexon looks like a hatchback car from the rear.
• I mean to say the rear design is a bit mismatched as compared to the front design.
• The Tailgate of Tata Nexon is sculpted beautifully & an X-shaped element is connected with the beltline.
• And if you look at the rear bumper you will find the tri-Arrow design on it as well.

• On the other hand, Two reflectors are placed on the bumper.
• Just like the front-rear bumper, it also has a fake skid plate.
• The rear portion also looks muscular with lots of cuts and creases.
• Talking about Taillight they are of LED & come with Tri-Arrow

• Only the Tri-Arrow design is of lead and the rest of the light is halogen-equipped.
• Talking about Tata Nexon boot space it has 350 Liters of boot space which is not great.

Tata Nexon Interior Design (Watch)

• Tata is surprisingly updating the interiors of its cars now it’s hard to fault the interiors.
• As I told you Tata is using its Tri-Arrow theme all around the car.
• When you step inside the car you notice this tri-Arrow pattern on the seats & on the dashboard.
• The thing that will catch your attention is Nexon’s floating Island design of the dashboard.
• On the dash, Air Con vents are finished with chrome to make it look premium.

• The premium white finish of the dashboard with the Tri-Arrow IMD pattern looks cool.
• On the other hand steering of the Nexons is fully wrapped in leather.
• And also features steering-mounted controls for the driver’s convenience.
• That steering is electrically powered with tilt adjustment & flat from the bottom.

• However, I am not very happy with Tata Nexon’s Digital Instrument Cluster.
• Talking about Tata Nexon’s seats they are comfortable & have good Leg and Head
• Even if you are 6 feet tall or more you will be comfortable on the seats.
• On the seat, you will get a centre armrest with two cup holders and two cup holders on the centre console.
• Talking about the door you also get some piano finish inside the door.

• And some fabric treatment on all four doors with a Tri-Arrow pattern.
• In addition, all windows have a space to carry a 1L bottle holder.
• & you can put umbrellas on both front windows really nice thing to have.
• Tata has added an Electric Sun Roof to the Nexons in 2021.

• The sunroof is not large but you will be ok with that.

Driving Experience/my opinion

• Tata Nexon is available in diesel and petrol engine options.
• Both engines are turbocharged and offer a good driving experience.
• Talking about diesel engine that pumps 110 hp but it also weighs 1315 kg.
• So it’s not a high-speed SUV although if you want to get the good acceleration you have to shift gear down.
• So both the petrol and diesel engines only perform well when you use light throttle input.
• And talking about ride quality it’s impressive on the bad roads.
• Because it has 206 mm of ground clearance Nexon’s is best for bad roads.
• On the other hand, Tata Nexon Diesel will give you 22 km/l of millage.
• And on the petrol, Nexon gives you 17km/l of millage.
