Bajaj Pulsar 220F E20: Believe Me “Pulsar F250” Is Better. We will talk about this in this blog. we all know that on customer demand Bajaj launched its legendary Pulsar 220F BS7 E20. That means it can run on 20 per cent ethanol and 80 per cent petrol. you will read about this E20 later in this blog.
So the Bajaj Pulsar 220f ex-showroom price is ₹1.40 – 1.45 lakh (approx). the on-road price of Bajaj pulsar 220f will be approx On-Road Price (varies by location): ₹1.60 – 1.65 lakh including RTO, Insurance.
Bajaj has recently updated its Pulsar 220F and the price has now increased in 2024-2025 Ex-showroom price will be ₹1.40 – 1.45 lakh (approx) and Read More
Its on-road price will be On-Road Price ₹1.60 – 1.65 lakh (varies by location). now Bajaj has continued the older exterior design but added new graphics to make it look fresh and up to date.
On the other hand, you will get three new colours Black Blue, Black Red & Black silver whereas the bike will remain in the black colour only the graphic colour get change.
On the other hand, Bajaj has replaced the older part digital & part analogue instrument cluster with a new fully digital unit same as the other pulsar model.
So now you get Bluetooth connectivity, Mobile notifications, the Ride Connect app and turn-by-turn navigations but Bajaj hasn’t added the gear position indicator.
On the other hand switch gears are new and look much better than before similar to other pulsar models, a USB charger is also provided on the right side of the speedometer.
But Bajaj has still missed some premium features like Dual channel ABS, Riding modes, LED headlights etc.

Complete walkaround Review Pulsar 220F 2023
Bajaj has been trying to discontinue the 220 Pulsar for years but due to its huge fan following Bajaj remained unsuccessful in doing this. On the other hand, Bajaj also launched a similar design semi-faired bike known as Bajaj Pulsar F250 with more power, features etc. Read More
But people love Pulsar 220 f so much because its affordable offers good handling and is powerful and anyone can buy it due to its affordability. so in this blog, I will share my opinion with you and we will try to find why we are saying “Bajaj Pulsar 220F E20: Believe Me “Pulsar F250″ Is Better”
First, let’s talk about the design of the pulsar 220f new model. just like the Suzuki Hayabusa the Pulsar 220 hasn’t received a major update on its design but Bajaj has added new graphics to make it look fresh and this bike doesnt have groundbreaking technology that makes this bike affordable. Read More
In 2023 also company doesn’t changed its design but Bajaj made the engine BS7 compliant to meet the emission norms. and the rest of the thing is the same as before. but Bajaj was thinking about surprising its valuable custumer by giving them a bike which more powerful and modern than the existing Pulsar 220F.
this bike is Bajaj Pulsar F250 which is based on the Pulsar 220F but customers are not giving a response to this bike and still asking about older Pulsar 220F. although F250 is much more capable I don’t know why people not showing interest in it. it may be that people’s heart is connected with the 220 Pulsar.
FRONT DESIGN
Starting from the front since this bike is launched the front fairing and headlights look the same with vertically arranged round headlights in which one is projector-beam for the low beam and the upper is reflector type for the high beam. and on both side two pilot lamp is fitted.
Besides this, the front visor is a large aerodynamic that keeps you away from wind blasts. the thing I didn’t like about this bike is if Bajaj is relaunching this vehicle again they could add LED headlights to it just to make it more premium than before.
Front Right Quarter View.
In addition to this, Bajaj could replace the old halogen turn indicators with LED indicators as we have in the Pulsar F250. bajaj did only one thing with this bike they added a carbon fibre finish to the bike to give it a fresh look on the front fender.
As I am saying Pulsar F250 is better because it has single bi-function LED projector headlights, LED DRLs and LED turn indicators the front fairing looks better than the 220F pulsar and the front mudguard has a kind of 3D design that makes it look sportier.
SIDE DESIGN
Pulsar 220f Black and Silver Color.
Now let’s compare the side design, the older model 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 220F has a nice fairing design but it had some issues like after some time or years this faring used to produce rattling noise. but I don’t know if this problem still exists or not.
Besides this, I saw that the side panels are now covered with the fake carbon fibre finish and the tail cowl is also covered with the fake carbon finish. company has done nothing with the design of the body panels looks the same as before only the graphics have changed.
One thing that I appreciate about the design of the Pulsar 220F is its design still looks much better than many bikes despite being an old design bike. I think that’s why people love this bike. on the other you will get a plastic engine cowl to complement the sportier look and the exhaust system now comes with a full black finish and it used to come with a silver finish.
And the rest of the thing is the same as before like the engine comes in black colour, the foot pegs and foot pedals are of good quality.
Front.
Brooklyn Black.
Left Side view.
Now if we compare Pulsar F250 with the 220F we find that the new 2023 Pulsar F250 looks bigger, more muscular and more modern than our 220 pulsars. seriously I am saying it is true you can’t deny that F250 looks great compared to 220F.
On the other hand, the body panels fit and finish and the quality of the material used in this bike makes it a good choice. In this bike bajaj has added a new compact exhaust that sounds like a big bike it has good quality feet pegs etc I personally like its design. but I am not saying that the 220F design is not great but the new generation F250 looks bigger and sportier.
REARVIEW
Pulsar 220F
Pulsar F250
Speaking about the rear view I must say that the Pulsar 220F had a sportier rear view I mean the rear tyre is wider, the tail cowl is sharper and the large exhaust pipe makes it looks sporty. on the other hand, I don’t like the rear portion of the F250 much.
We have shown several images of the bajaj pulsar 220f new model 2023 so that you can enjoy reading this blog. and I assure you you cannot find more information about this bike than in this blog.
HANDLEBAR & SPEEDOMETER
Part Analog & Part Digital instrument ClusterClip On Handle Bar
This bike comes with a raised Clip-on handlebar that offers a good upright riding position and bar end weights are mounted on both side grip. when I was riding this bike I felt that this bike is quite easy to handle.
and you can easily control this bike in the city traffic because of its wide handle bike. moving on the switch gear cluster it comes with illuminated switches that make this bike easy to use at night.
Since this bike is launched the speedometer is the same part analog and part digital. on the left side, you will get an analogue tachometer and on the side, you will get a digital speedometer.
This speedometer shows instant fuel economy, average fuel economy, side stand warning, trip A and trip B, Distance to empty, fuel level indicator etc. beside this engine temperature, engine malfunction and oil pressure warning signs can be seen in this bike.
Whereas with the Bajaj Pulsar F250, you will get a new Infinity display speedo & a new design handlebar and switch gears that feel more premium than the 220 pulsars.
SAFETY FEATURES
Comparison Between Pulsar 220F & Pulsar F250
One and most of the riders say that if Bajaj was relaunching this bike they could add a dual channel ABS in it just to make it more safe and more upgraded product. but unfortunately, you will get a single-channel ABS. On the other hand, bajaj has added a side stand cut-off switch to make it more safe.
Besides this, you will get the convenience of the main stand here, saree guard and side engine guard that comes fitted with this bike by default.
Why I am saying the Pulsar f250 is better because it comes with Dual channel ABS, Side stand cut-off switch and side engine guard and it’s only Rs 7000/- approx expensive. and it’s not much.
Actually, bajaj Pulsar 220 f comes with only one colour glossy black and you will get three different colours of graphics with it Silver, Blue and red.
so most of you are in the confusion that we are short-height guys can we ride Pulsar 220f or not. so in this paragraph, I will tell you what height is required to ride this bike. Actually, we brought two guys of 5’10” in height and a guy of 5’5″ in height. Read More
we sit both riders one by one on the bike. when a 5’10” guy was on the bike his both feet were touching the ground and he felt no problem riding the bike.
Is Pulsar 220 good for short riders?
And then we sat a guy 5″5″ on the bike and he was only able to touch his toes on the ground means he was not able to place his heel on the ground. but he said he can ride the bike easily. so if you are lesser than 5’5″ then I would not recommend you this bike although if you are an experienced rider then the height is not a big problem.
Seat Height
795 mm.
Engine and Performance
Pulsar 220F EnginePulsar F250 Engine
As this bike is the most popular bike the second reason for the bike’s popularity is its engine which is known for its powerful performance. when this bike was launched it used to come with a carburetted DTS-i engine that produced 21PS of power.Read More
But in 2023 Pulsar 220F comes with the same single cylinder 220cc oil cooled two valve fuel injected DTS-i engine that now produces 20.93 Ps power and 18.55 Nm of torque. but after getting the fuel injection system bike feels more smooth to during the ride and produces lesser vibration.
On the other hand, recently Bajaj has added E20 OBD technology to this bike which means this bike can run on 20% ethanol and 80% on petrol and with the help of OBD you can connect this bike with a scanner and find any problem with your bike-related to the engine.
One thing I must say is bajaj pulsar 220f new model 2023 rides well and accelerates better and feels smoother than before. but one thing I always complained Bajaj could add a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch to it just to make it more enjoyable so that customers dont feel that they are buying an outdated buying after all customer is paying nearly Rs 1.60 lakh.
Besides this, if you want to use this bike for long rides you can take it easily because a large tank requires to do this. so bajaj pulsar 220f fuel tank capacity is 15 litres and you can expect a mileage of 35-50 km/l from it.
now many of you asked the question what is the Bajaj pulsar 220f engine oil capacity? So this bike comes with a 1.2-litre engine oil capacity and I recommend Motul 20W50 engine oil for this bike.
On the other hand, when this bike was launched in 2009 this bike not used comes with an engine cover. but a new Bajaj pulsar 220f engine cover comes installed with it to give it a sporty look and to protect the engine. It’s made up of plastic or you can get it installed from the company service center. or you can buy this by clicking on this link.
Suspension and Brakes
Front & Rear SuspensionRear Wheel.
The Bajaj Pulsar 220F features a telescopic front suspension and a 5-way adjustable Nitrox rear suspension. The suspension setup provides a comfortable ride even on rough terrain.
The bike’s braking system consists of a 260mm disc brake at the front and a 230mm disc brake at the rear. The brakes are powerful and offer excellent stopping power.
and rear brake only gets a wheel speed sensor that protects rear wheel lifting during hard braking and ABS works only on the front wheel.
Bajaj Pulsar 220F Max Speed
220F Pulsar top speed test
During our test our Pulsar 220 achieved 135 km/h top speed. and it can go up to 150 km/h but it depends upon the road condition, rider weight and wind direction.
Max Speed
135 km/h
Bajaj Pulsar 220F Fuel Economy
What is the real fuel economy of Pulsar 220F?
Pulsar 220f Real fuel economy test
We tested the fuel economy of 2023 pulsar 220f on the highway and in the city conditions and during the test we kept only one litre of petrol in the bike. Read More
So during the highway test, we rode the bike above 80 km/h and we rode the bike continuously till the fuel tank run out and we got the 33.4 kmpl of fuel economy or mileage.
and the second test we don’t in the mixed traffic condition where we didn’t accelerate the bike much and we maintained the speed below 50 km/h. and we got 50 km/l of mileage. we were riding the bike in the economy and traffic was not heavy there and then we took the bike on the highway.
one I want to say is fuel economy vary person to person as also riding conditions and habits.
Now a few years back Bajaj Also launched a smaller version of the bigger Pulsar 220F which is the Pulsar 180F. this bike was a combination of Bajaj Pulsar 180 and Pulsar 220F. the design of this bike is identical to the 220F but it has an engine of older Pulsar 180. Read More
I don’t think I need to explain more about its design. because it’s exactly the same bike as the 220F pulsar. but its exhaust design was the same as the regular pulsar model. The latest change that the company has done to it was the use of fuel injection technology.
Yes, when this bike was launched it used to come with the carburettor-fitted DTS-i engine but the later company added a fuel injection to it to make it BS6 compliant. and in around 2021 company discontinued the Bajaj Pulsar 180F. and more images of this bike.
Pulsar 180F was discontinued because of its lack of sales. and people are more attracted to the Pulsar 220F and they didn’t want a lesser-capacity bike. and at last, bajaj has added a fuel injection engine to it to make BS6 compliant but people don’t want that. so this is the reason for discontinuing.
What is the mileage of Pulsar 180 2023?
According to a recent mileage test after adding a fuel injection system to this bike is 44 km/l. this mileage test was done in mixed riding conditions along with the pillion.
Mileage
44 km/l
What is the BHP power of Pulsar 180F?
Pulsar 180F used to come with the 178.6cc fuel injected single cylinder 2-valve air-cooled engine which produces 17.02 PS @ 8500 rpm.

Should you buy Bajaj Pulsar 220F or not?
As I said at the start of this blog that Bajaj Pulsar 220F E20: Believe Me “Pulsar F250” Is Better. i said this because Bajaj was not updating its 220F pulsar for years. I mean in terms of features and new Pulsar 250F gets a new engine, design and features. Read More
And you don’t get any modern features like dual channel ABS, USB slot, Powerful engine, LED Lights etc. I am not saying that Pulsar 220F is not a great bike I am just saying this bike still need technical updates, not design update.
On the other hand, we don’t know when the will company again discontinue it because I think the company just selling its stock not more than that and in many showrooms, this bike is still unavailable.
